It is colorless combustible gas under normal temperature and pressure. Melting point - 159.4 ℃. Boiling point - 11.73 ℃. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, etc. The explosive mixture is formed with air, and the explosion limit is 1.9% - 8.4% (volume). It mainly exists in natural gas, refinery gas and cracked gas. It can be obtained by physical separation and n-Butane Isomerization. It is mainly used to produce Isooctane by alkylation with isobutylene, as the improver of gasoline octane number. It can also be used as a refrigerant.
