Scandium Oxide

The chemical formula of scandium oxide is Sc2O3. Property: white solid. It has cubic structure of rare earth sesquioxide. Density 3.864. Melting point 2403 ℃ ± 20 ℃. Insoluble in water, soluble in hot acid. It is prepared by the thermal decomposition of scandium salt. It can be used as evaporation material of semiconductor coating. We make solid-state laser with variable wavelength, high definition TV electron gun, metal halide lamp, etc.

Tetraterbium Heptaoxide

Terbium oxide is a kind of oxide, chemical formula O7Tb4, in the form of black brown powder. It is used to produce terbium, magneto optic glass, fluorescent powder, magneto optic storage, chemical additive, etc.

Thulium Oxide

Off white powder. Insoluble in water, can dissolve slowly in strong acid. It is used as activator of fluorescent material and mainly used for manufacturing portable X-ray transmission device. It can also be used as control material in the reactor.

YTTERBIUM

Ytterbium: Atomic Number 70, atomic weight 173.04, element name comes from its discovery site. Mariniak separated ytterbium oxide from Er soil in 1878. In 1907, urban and weils pointed out that mariniak separated a mixture of lutetium oxide and ytterbium oxide. The content of ytterbium in the earth's crust is 0.000266%. Ytterbium is mainly found in yttrium phosphate ore and black rare gold ore. there are seven kinds of natural isotopes.

YTTERBIUM OXIDE

Chemical formula Yb2O3. The molecular weight is 394.08. The pure product is colorless powder, light brown or yellow when it contains thulium oxide. Slightly hygroscopic, absorb carbon dioxide from the air. The proportion is 9.2. Melting point 2,346°C. It is the weakest in the yttrium group except lutetium oxide. Insoluble in water and cold acid, soluble in hot dilute acid.

YTTRIUM

Yttrium is silvery white to dark gray, or black solid or gray powder. Odorless. Elements of group III-B of the periodic table. It is very similar to rare earth metals. Yttrium is usually found together with rare earth elements. Although it is classified as rare earth elements in some aspects, it is listed as the first element in the second row of rare earth elements (period 5) in the periodic table of elements and belongs to transition metals. It is the lightest of all the rare earth atoms. (Note: yttrium is located in the periodic table above the element lanthanum (Group 3), which starts the lanthanide rare earth series. Yttrium can be dissolved in weak acids, strong bases such as potassium hydroxide and water. The melting point is 1522 ℃, the boiling point is 5338 ℃, and the density is 4.469g/cm3.

Yttrium Oxide

Chemical Y2O3, white with yellow powder, insoluble in water and alkali, soluble in acid. It is mainly used for manufacturing magnetic materials for microwave and important materials for military industry (single crystal; yttrium iron garnet, yttrium aluminum garnet and other composite oxides), as well as additives for optical glass, ceramic materials, high brightness phosphor for large screen TV and other picture tube coatings.
