Blue-black powder with metallic luster. Soluble in water, it is magenta, soluble in cellolytic, slightly soluble in ethanol. It is soluble blue in concentrated sulfuric acid, magenta after dilution; it is brownish red in concentrated nitric acid. It is a reddish blue solution in caustic soda. Its aqueous solution, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid will be magenta; adding concentrated sodium hydroxide will be blue. When dyeing, it encounters copper and iron, and the color and light change greatly. Solubility in water (80℃) 50g/L. For wool, silk and other fabrics, it can also be used for the coloring of anodized aluminum. Good color fastness, mainly used for dyeing navy blue. The main disadvantage is that the reproducibility is poor, and the color of large and small samples is often difficult to achieve consistency. Generally, the small sample is light and the large sample is dark. Not suitable for color matching.
