The hydrolysis constant of hypochlorite is 1 × 10-4, which is higher than that of chloramine t. The stability of aqueous solution is poor, and the loss of effective chlorine is accelerated under the action of ultraviolet. Low concentration can quickly kill all kinds of bacteria, fungi and viruses, which has special effect on hepatitis virus.
